The secret is out! Over the summer, I started to create greetings cards as a side project alongside my illustration portfolio work.
Thortful is the UK's 1st marketplace for thousands of independent creators, and is a wonderful place to purchase cards online. The collection I've illustrated is aimed towards adults and children, and all contain elements that I absolutely love, which I hope you will love too. So whether you're looking for something different to celebrate your loved one's birthday, or just looking for something unique from what you would normally find on the high street, then feel free to check out my designs in the link below. This is the start of something exciting! https://www.thortful.com/creator/eleanorcawdron

The class of 2022 proudly displayed work from our 'Major project' module at West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk last week (29th April- 6th May). We had a lot more visitors than expected; ranging from family and friends, to past and present lecturers. I was pleased to chat to other people about my project, and my illustration style.
It was a really successful night, especially being my first student-led exhibition. I definitely see myself doing this like this in the future. Speaking of.. I'm planning on doing more portfolio pieces in the near future, and am currently looking at potential agencies and clients that may like my style. Ooh, this is very exciting! My very first blog post, none other to introduce myself: I am an undergraduate art student, who is about to graduate from BA (Hons) Art Practice at University Studies at West Suffolk College. I have big plans to become a freelance illustrator after finishing, and so this is essentially the first step into that goal. I am also busy organising a group exhibition with other like-minded creatives.. so lots to look forward to.
This is the first time in ages that I have updated my profile image for my socials (my insta: @eleanorcawdron, my Facebook page: Eleanor Cawdron Illustration), and so I have decided to use Procreate for this. I feel this is where my current style is at the moment: it's still developing of course, but I'm really happy with it so far.. and hopefully, I will use this style more in freelance work! But for now, I'm very busy finishing up my degree work. |
